Savings & Tips

Knowing where your money goes will help you stretch it further. Whether it's saving for a trip to an amusement park, or going to the movies; knowing how and when to spend will help you make wise money choices. Below are some ways in which you can save and budget your money.

Budgeting
Opening a savings account at a credit union teaches you how to save. You can make a deposit every week or every month. Every little penny, nickel, dime, quarter, or dollar you save can add up to a great reward. Save any spare change you come across and you will see that it will quickly add up in savings.

Set Goals
It can be hard to decide between purchases. Try making a list of the things you want and rank them from the most important to the least important. It is very rewarding to set and achieve goals.

Identify Your Spending Habits
A way to tell if you have good or bad spending habits is to track where your money goes. If you spend more money on things that you need and use, those are good spending habits. If you are buying items just because you like making purchases, that might be a sign of poor spending habits.
